Over the past three years the Glyncorrwg Ponds Co-operative, with the help for Cydcode – Woods for all, Wales Tourist Board and working in partnership with Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council, and Forest Commission Wales have developed a series of World class mountain bike trails and visitor centre at Glyncorrwg, in the Afan Forest Park. The trails are known as The Wall, White’s level and Skyline.
The newly opened Mountain Bike Centre is ideally located for cyclists wishing to ride two of Wales’ world class mountain bike trail. Facilities include a fully stocked bike shop, campsite, showers, jet wash and a cafe that provides quality food and service.
The Afan Forest Park is rapidly developing as a centre of mountain biking excellence. With over 100km of trails explore, specially designed routes to challenge even the most experienced biker, the Afan Forest Park is the place to be in South Wales. It will take more than a day of off road biking to explore the vast area of forest which surround the Ponds Centre.
This Mountain Biking Centre has superb facilities and is the trailhead for Whites level and Skyline mountain biking trails. There is also a bike shop, cafe, lounge area, open air deck, changing/shower rooms, a bike park and coarse and fly fishing lakes together with a WTB rated caravan and camp site.
